Ann Curry

Ann Curry was born in the United States and is a photographer and journalist. For more than forty-five years she has focused her efforts on the reporting of the suffering of people, particularly during war and natural catastrophes. Curry was a reporter in war zones like Kosovo Iraq Syria Lebanon Palestine Afghanistan Darfur Congo. Ann Curry, (born November 19th, 1956 in Agana American journalist and TV anchor and news reporter. She was best known for her job as a correspondent on the Today program, which was a morning news show that was telecast on the National Broadcasting Co. (NBC). Curry's work was noted for her reporting on humanitarian emergencies that took place in war-torn nations and natural disasters. Curry's mother was Japanese American and her U.S. Navy-sailor father were both prominent figures in her life. Following World War II, her parents met during her father's service in Japan. Because of her father's work as a military officer that they had to move around a lot. Curry was a high school graduate at Ashland Oregon. Curry graduated from the University of Oregon awarded her the degree of bachelor of arts in journalism. Curry attended various schools including San Diego Alameda Oregon Virginia and Virginia. Finally, she graduated Ashland High School. Her broadcasting career began as an intern at KTVL Channel 10 Medford in Oregon. When she was 22, she eventually became the first journalist female at the station. After that, she moved onto becoming an anchor and reporter for KGW KGW, which was an NBC affiliate station in Portland. After four years, she was appointed an anchor by KCBS TV located in Los Angeles. During her six-year relationship with KCBS, she was awarded two Emmy Awards.
